Classifying Substances, Part II

Objective
• Students continue to apply their knowledge of the concept of indicators to sort substances into categories
Vocabulary
acid - a substance that donates hydrogen ions in a reaction.  Acids taste sour and are usually vey corrosive (ex: vinegar, lemon juice)
phenol red (PR) - an indicator that turns yellow in acid solutions
