Populations & Ecosystems

Overview of Unit:
Populations & ecosystems examines living things and their relationships with each other and with their environment.  Through activities and resources, students discover and understand the roles that different organisms play in an environment.  They will find out how material that organisms need cycle through ecosystems, and they will trace the flow of energy through them.  They will examine large ecosystems--Earth's biomes--as well as Earth's large water ecosystems.  They will also discover the importance of biodiversity.
