WHAT'S HAPPENING

RIF DAY:  We will be having another RIF day on April 13.  This one will take place in our library.  Mrs. Demers class is in charge of the theme this time.

DCF:  This is a new year with a lot of new books on the list.  Check out the DCF website for the list.  We are also doing something a little different this year.  Each class has an hour glass in the hallway.  For every DCF book read, the red line goes up on the hour glass.  The class that reaches the top first will win an ice cream party!!!!!

We are also doing the weekly voucher drawing.  Students fill out a voucher for each DCF book they read.  Every Friday I reach into the box and draw a name.  The winner gets to come in the library and pick out a prize in the treasure chest.

DCF BOOK AWARDS:

LETS BLOG!!!!!!!!  Students in 4th, 5th and 6th grade will be learning about the Dorothy Canfield Fisher blog site in December. http://dcfbooks.edublogs.org/  This is a safe site where students can discuss DCF books with other students around the state.
