Strong partnerships between school and home encourage academic success!
Our mission is to help promote a happy, safe, and engaging learning environment for the students and staff at Hardwick Elementary School.
Who We Are:
We are a dedicated group of parents and faculty. We volunteer time in order to provide services and support to students and staff of Hardwick Elementary School.
Facebook: Friends of HES
Face-to-Face: Holly Williams, Melissa Hall, Beth LeCours, Heather Cadorette
What we do:
Provide funding for the fall Book Fair to ensure all kids have an equal opportunity to purchase a book.
Provide enrichment funds for each grade, the Library, Art, Music, and Physical Education for classroom supplies, books, project materials, field trips, classroom celebrations, and to bring in external speakers/educators for lessons.
Sponsor family events and school wide assemblies.
Provide an annual family breakfast that is free to all HES families.
Sponsor an annual school dance
Provide all 6th graders Hazen t-shirts at graduation as they embark on their next journey.
Provide snacks/baked goods for staff coming back to school and during Staff Appreciation Week along with raffles and lunch.
This year we will be purchasing HES t-shirts for all students and staff to help foster a greater sense of community and inclusion.
Ways you can help:
Support the family events and fundraising initiatives we sponsor. The only way we are able to offer programs, enrichment, or equipment for the school is via our fundraising efforts. The more successful our efforts, the more we can offer and bring to our school.
Come to a meeting and share your thoughts and ideas. Meetings for the 2019 - 2020 school year will be the first Tuesday of each month school is in session at 5:15 pm in the Student Support Center.
Send us your feedback, ideas, or services you could offer via firstname.lastname@example.org, send us a message on Facebook (Friends of HES), or chat with a current member (Holly Williams, Melissa Hall, Heather Cadorette, or Beth LeCours.
Friends of HES (PTO) Gift Basket Fundraiser
Hello HES Families! In order to help fund our initiatives for the 2019-2020 school year, we will be conducting a gift basket raffle and need your help! We are asking each grade to put together a gift basket based on their assigned theme below and are asking families for support in donating items. We will be collecting items up until January 17, 2020. We will then put the baskets together and sell raffle tickets throughout the basketball season. The winners of the baskets will be drawn at a Spaghetti Dinner held by the Friends of HES on April 3, 2020. The grade with the most money earned per student on their basket will win an ice cream party! Please note that this fundraiser will be in place of a Super Bingo that we have traditionally held each year.

Bottom Line: We need participation from everyone! A little bit from all of us will go a long way!
The better the baskets are, the more we can earn in the raffle and the greater the chances are of earning a party for your student’s grade! The more we raise, the more opportunities we can help bring to the school! Let’s get creative and have fun with this friendly Bobcat competition!
